At initiation young Scythian/Aryans lived outside of the rest of society, they were literally and physically separate. Supported only by the ‘wolf pack’ of their peers. They were originally known as the Koryos - a group of police-warriors. The Scythian-Aryans associated wolves with this so-called ‘warrior’ class. Young, privileged men were turned into ‘wolves’ upon initiation.

This gang of thugs had to serve a number of years in such a configuration, until being readmitted to wider society. That is the 'society' which was their original tribe, or was their host, over which they were to rule. These were unmarried, propertyless men. These wolf rites of passage were linked to ancient bronze age pseudo-religious practises that took place at the year’s end. These rites were linked to ‘prosperity’ - fertility etc., through cattle raids. Essentially these males lived by stealing property from others in the shape of livestock. Cattle rustlers if you like. Their ‘religion’ supported this act and sought to sanctify their criminal lifestyles.

Graves, sites of sacrifice, human remains, certain objects and literary sources support this: Norse tales tell of wolf or bear soldiers - the beserker, ulghednar - bear-coated men etc. Scythian traditions of ferocious warrior bands, found there way into Germanic/Scandinavian traditions: why this is so will be explained later. These killers aroused a great deal of fear in their victims, they had similar traits and brotherhood ties. These are spoken of in Scandinavian tales as men who were werewolves or ‘entourages’ of the dead/demons at the year’s end.

Dogs were sacrificed at winter’s end amongst the Aryans and within the grasp of the Aryan culture zone. At Kivik in Sweden, a large circular burial cairn was believed to hold an ancient king’s bones - it did not, it contained the bones of teenage boys, between 13 - 15. The bones showed they had been burned. The images in the tomb showed the initiation of men into ‘wolves’ or warriors. The significance of this find will unfold as you continue.

Boys were selected for warrior status between the ages of 8 and trained (conditioned) till they were 12 or sixteen; this must have been highly traumatic for such a young child. It may constitute an example of trauma-based mind control, as the process included the practise of extreme violence. At midwinter solstice these boys were sent off as ‘outlaws’, to live beyond the law, living as wolves and dogs do, in the forests.

The midwinter solstice marked the day before the sun began to rise again. That is when the day’s lengthened again. It was the ‘darkest’ day of the year, the ‘shortest’. A day of the least light.

During harvest time the last sheaf of corn was embodied by a ‘corn spirit’, this was linked to a dog, a wolf, or a mare. Sometimes these animals were sacrificed at the beginning of winter. Domestic animals were kept in the farmhouse for winter solstice rites. If an animal was sacrificed, a hood could be made from its skin. The wearer would be ‘transformed’ whilst conducting the spring rites - associated with successful seed sowing the following year.
